This textbook “DIRECT BIODIESEL PRODUCTION FROM MICROALGAL BIOMASS AND ITS WASTE UTILIZATION FOR SUGAR PRODUCTION (RESEARCH & PRACTICE ON OPTIMIZATION STUDIES USING RSM)” was written by Yohanis Irenius Mandik, Ph.D. There are three main purposes of this textbook: 1) To introduce direct biodiesel production from microalgal biomass and its waste utilization in sugar production. 2) To introduce optimization studies using RSM, and 3) To introduce how to write the research report for publication, mainly to the university students and researchers who interest in the area of aquaculture, biochemistry, biology, bioprocess engineering, environmental biotechnology, environmental science, organic chemistry, and various related fields of bioscience. The utilization of microalgae would contribute to solve several global problems such as an energy security, resources depletion and climate change, at least to some extent. Therefore, the microalgal utilization would give not only economy benefits but also environmental benefits.
